About
My name is Vesekhoyi Tetseo, Known as ‘Vee’. I was born in Nagaland and raised in a Christian family of five siblings. After the retirement of my father from military I found myself displaced and self-seeking my identity which led me through a rebellious youth life. By the time I was 14, (1982-1983) my love for rock music got me into joining some local rock band in Kohima and Dimapur, which eventually led me to marijuana, alchohol and drug abuse. I started playing gigs in the local rock music scene and few other towns/cities in the North-East way back in 1982-88. Although I personally received Christ (Born Again) at the age of 15, I backslided and drifted far from the Lord. It wasn’t long before the Lord called him back to Himself. In the year 1988, I played his last rock concert and got back to the Church resolving to use my talents for the Lord.
In the year 1995, I left for the Philippines to study at the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary, Baguio majoring in Voice and Conducting. After my graduation in 1998, I served at University Baptist Church, Baguio and First Baptist Church, San Fernando. In the year 1999, I joined my graduate studies at Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary to work on my Th.D .
I met my wife Ai Nohara in Baguio in 1998 and got married in 1999. We have three wonderful boys named Levi (7), Kozo (5) and Setsuri (2). From November 2000 to April 2008, I served as associate pastor at Okinawa Daiichi Baptist Church. I was ordained by the Okinawa Baptist Convention, Okinawa in 2006. The Lord has led me and my wife to start Great Commission International on May 10th, 2008.
The one passion that drives me is for all the nations to worship Jesus Christ. My passion to serve God in this field has led me to organize worship seminars, worship conferences, speak/ lead seminars/workshops. Besides leading worship at church and on the local scene I have led worship at conferences like Franklin Graham Festival, Okinawa; Asian Baptist Congress, Thailand etc.
